In 2012 Brian Kleeman created Monsoon Motorsport, LLC in an effort to develop and campaign the Nissan Motorsports NISMO 370Z in the GTS Class of the SCCA Pro Pirelli World Challenge Series. The 2014 World Challenge season became the flagship season for the team and driver Brian Kleeman, evidenced by multiple top ten finishes, three Optima Battery Best Standing Start Awards and three Sunoco Hard Charger Awards in a limited event schedule.

2016 has brought some change in the addition of the #07 2015 Ford Performance Mustang Boss 302 for the SCCA Pro Trans Am Series in the TA4 class. 2016 brings the Monsoon Motorsport racing program into yet another professional series championship effort. With success in SCCA, Pirelli World Challenge, IMSA CTSC and now running in the Trans Am Series, the sky is the limit for Brian Kleeman and the Monsoon Motorsport team.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Brian Kleeman got a relatively late start in auto racing despite a passion that burned from early childhood. As a graduate of the Skip Barber Racing School during college, he immediately scored three podium finishes in his first year, racing as part of the Skip Barber Eastern Championship Series, and soon moved on to SCCA Club Racing scoring a regional championship in the Spec Miata class.

National competition called as Brian stepped into his first Nissan, an early model 350Z, which would be the first of many successful seasons with Nissan from 2008 to 2013 in both SCCA Touring 2 and Touring 3. Multiple wins each season culminated in Division Championships in 2009, 2010 and 2013 while also including numerous Touring 2 and Touring 3 track records at Mosport, Watkins Glen, NJMP Thunderbolt, Road Atlanta and New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Shortly after the completion of the 2011 season, Nissan North America approached Brian with the idea of campaigning one of the first Nissan 370Z’s in the rejuvenated Pirelli World Challenge Series GTS Class and Brian jumped at the chance. In 2013 Brian ran and won multiple Club Spec Z races and gathered top tens in Pro events. The following year the #07 Nissan Motorsports 370Z was further developed by the Monsoon Motorsport team and with Brian behind the wheel gathered multiple top ten in the stacked GTS class of the Pirelli World Challenge Series.

In 2016 Brian is currently racing the #07 Ford Performance Mustang Boss 302 in the TA4 class of the SCCA Pro Trans Am Series for the full season in an effort to win a championship.
